THE PRESIDENT OF THE IOC HAS VISITED LITHUANIA

The president of the International Olympic Committee Dr. Jacques Rogge has been visited Lithuania on May 5-6 th, 2006 by the invitation of Lithuanian Academy of Physical Education. A visit of such a respectable guest was organized by the provost of Academy Dr. Raimutis Kairaitis, who is also the President of Lithuanian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.

In the main hall of Academy the Academy Honorary Doctorate Conferment regalia was presented to Dr. Jacques Rogge.

Dr. Jacques Rogge is the consultant of this High school in Kaunas city, where since 1989 the bodybuilding and fitness course of study were introducted. Also, namely Dr. Ramutis, the president of Lithuanian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, was the founder of this course.

During the visit Dr. Ramutis Kairaitis talked about bodybuilding matters with the professor of Brussels (Belgium) University Herman Van Coppenolle, who was accompanying the president of IOC and his wife Anne Bovyn.

Jacques Rogge with his wife were homaged in Vilnius University, they were welcomed by the President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus. The president of IOC has also visited Lithuanian National Olympic Committee.
